[109] MTSU, Motlow host open house at Middle Tennessee Education Center

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee Education Center invites you to taste some MTSU chocolate milk while enjoying the center’s open house from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Door prizes also will be awarded at the center, which is located at 200 Dover St. in Shelbyville.

The gathering is an opportunity to showcase the educational partnership among MTSU, Motlow State Community College and Bedford County government.

Motlow’s president Dr. Mary Lou Apple, and other Motlow officials plan to attend, as well as Dr. Warren Gill, chairman of MTSU’s Department of Agribusiness and Agriscience, and Dr. David Gotcher, assistant dean of MTSU’s University College.

The purpose of the education center is to provide additional higher education opportunities to those who live in the southern part of Middle Tennessee.
MTEC has on-site classrooms as well as administrative and advising offices for both institutions that offer assistance to students looking to earn a higher education.
