[099] September ‘Out of the Blue’ showcases great MTSU news

MURFREESBOROMTSU has barely begun the 2013-14 academic year, and we already have more good news than a freshman on his first Skype chat home.

Check out the September 2013 edition of "Out of the Blue," MTSU's half-hour video magazine, at http://youtu.be/CjxEZkZd6CQ to watch stories about:

  • a study-abroad project that became an exhibit of international art;
  • a summer commencement ceremony featuring some "tenacious and amazingly adaptable" new graduates;
  • words of hope and dedication from author and activist R. Dwayne Betts at the 2013 University Convocation;
  • President Sidney A. McPhee's vow to ensure student success at his 2013 Fall Faculty Meeting address;
  • the grand opening — and long-awaited occupancy — of two new garages with a total of nearly 1,000 new parking spaces for students;
  • the handy new MTSU Visitors' Guide, a full-size magazine filled with great information, and more!

You can watch online anytime, or watch on Murfreesboro cable Channel 9 Monday through Sunday at 7 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and on NewsChannel5+ Sundays at 1:30 p.m. "Out of the Blue" also is available on other cable outlets in Middle Tennessee, so check local listings.
