MURFREESBORO — The
next edition of “MTSU On the Record” focuses on a new class for anyone who
loves animation.
Host Gina Logue’s interview with Kevin McNulty, assistant
professor in the Department of Electronic Media Communication, is scheduled to
air from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Monday, July 8, and from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Sunday, July
14, on WMOT-FM (89.5 and http://wmot.org).
Starting this fall, McNulty will teach “Animation and the
Illusion of Motion” (EMC 1300) from 9:40 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. each Tuesday and
Thursday.
“The class is not only meant to give students an
introduction to the art and history of animation but also to get back to the
production of hand-drawn, stop-motion and other forms of the craft,” said
McNulty.
There are no course prerequisites, and the class is open to
all students. Students do not have to be digital animation majors to sign up
for the course.
