MURFREESBORO — More
than 65 countries await MTSU scholars eager for an international experience,
and everything those students need to know will be at the Study Abroad Fair.
The annual event, which is free and open to the public, is
slated for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, in MTSU’s Student Union
Building.
“Education Abroad participants will not only have a unique
academic experience, but will also gain confidence, improve foreign language
abilities and be able to demonstrate intercultural communication skills in future
personal, academic and career choices,” said Tiffany Bickers, director of
MTSU’s Office of Education Abroad.
More than 35 tables of information about program and country
options, scholarships and financial aid will be available on the first and
second floors. Faculty members, program representatives and former study abroad
students will be on hand to answer questions.
“Education abroad is an invaluable opportunity for students
to grow academically, professionally and personally by learning from people and
cultures around the world,” said Katherine Kovar, education abroad adviser.
