MURFREESBORO, Tenn. —
The MTSU Honors College, Office of Admissions and various
departments across campus are collaborating for the annual Presidents’ Day Open House.
The daylong event is scheduled for Presidents’ Day, Monday,
Feb. 19, for high school and transfer students across the region and beyond.
The Honors College offers
personalized teaching, smaller classes and a competitive edge in a more
interactive learning environment for high-ability scholars.
Attendees
can take advantage of the opportunity to meet people who can answer questions
and show them the campus and its academic departments while also meeting current
honors students, financial aid and scholarship staff and academic advisers.
To learn more about the open house, including parking in the
Rutherford Boulevard lot, registration and the day’s schedule, visit http://www.mtsu.edu/honors/open-house.php.
“The open house
is designed to help prospective students learn more about the Honors College by
offering educational and fun events,” said staff member Laura Clippard. “We have many Honors students volunteering so
students can speak directly with them about their experiences. The Honors
College offers a small learning environment with the greater resources of
MTSU."
Information sessions and optional tours and activities
highlight the day for guests considering MTSU and the Honors College. The
opportunities include mock trial, “mad science” and School of Music
presentations.
For more information, call 615-898-2152 or email Clippard at

Admissions and campus departments also are preparing for
preview days set for Saturday, Feb. 24, and Saturday, March 17. To learn more,

MTSU has more than 240
