[381] MTSU Sexual Responsibility Week events will be held Feb. 12-13


For Sexual Responsibility Week at Middle Tennessee State University, MTSU Health Promotion has several offerings, said Lisa Schrader, director of Health Promotion.

• “Ask a Sexpert” will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, in Cason Kennedy Nursing Building Room N116. This program is a panel discussion where students may anonymously ask questions regarding sexual health, healthy relationships, STI testing resources and more.  A panel of experts representing clinical health, health education, HIV testing programs, and sexual assault services will respond to questions and solicit additional discussion; and

• “Sexplanations” will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, also in CKNB N116. This interactive presentation will address multiple issues relating to sexual health, including contraception, abstinence, sexually transmitted infections transmission and prevention, partner communication and risk reduction.  The presentation allows audience members the opportunity gain a lot of information in a fast-paced, unintimidating environment.

Students with questions about these programs can visit the Raider Health Corps in the Student Union lobby today until 2 p.m. or from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday for more information.
