MURFREESBORO — Some
MTSU students are collecting donations to help keep people’s beloved pets
healthy.
Kavarshia Weeks, an MTSU animal science major, and other
young women who are rushing to become members of Sigma Alpha sorority are
collecting items for the Brown Dog Foundation through Oct. 30.
The Brown Dog Foundation (www.browndogfoundation.org) is a Tennessee-chartered
not-for-profit organization that helps pay the veterinary bills of people who
cannot afford their pet’s medical treatment.
Donations needed include boxes of file folders, books of
stamps, assorted dog and cat toys, assorted dog and cat treats, No. 10
envelopes (preferably Redi-Strip), and reams of paper, preferably HP bright
white-96 for letterhead and regular recycled paper for other uses.
To donate, drop off items in Room 100 of the Stark
Agriculture Building on the MTSU campus through Oct. 30. A printable campus map
is available at http://tinyurl.com/MTSUParkingMap13-14.
