MURFREESBORO —
The second annual MTSU LGBT+ College Conference will be the subject of the next
“MTSU On the Record” radio program.
Host Gina Logue’s interview with Elizabeth Villasana and
Shaela Dennis of the MT Lambda student organization will air from 5:30 to 6
p.m. Monday, March 30, and from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Sunday, April 5, on WMOT-FM
(89.5 and www.wmot.org).
Hosted by MT Lambda and the College of Behavioral and Health
Sciences, the conference is an opportunity for students, faculty and staff from
colleges and universities across Tennessee to discuss subjects important to the
LGBT+ communities.
“We are including veterans,” said Villasana. “We’ve got
allies. We’ve got the Tennessee Board of Regents helping us out.”
“And we have Greek life, as well,” added Dennis. “We try to
reach everybody.”
Corporate sponsors of the conference include Deloitte
Services LLC, a financial advisory firm, and Nissan North America.
