FREE ‘ADVENTURES IN SPACE’ WORKSHOP TUESDAY
AT MTSU IS AVAILABLE TO K-12 TEACHERS, MTSU STUDENTS
(MURFREESBORO) — MTSU students and K-12 teachers are welcome to attend a free workshop about NASA’s efforts to return to the moon, Mars and beyond.
William O. “Will” Robertson, aerospace educator at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., will be the presenter at the Tennessee NASA Educator Resource Center workshop from 4 until 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, in the Fairview Building Room 202. The Fairview Building is located just off Greenland Drive, just west of Murphy Center.
The Adventures in Space workshop will focus on NASA’s plans to return to the moon; the obstacles of going to Mars; and the unique features of the moon, Mars and Earth. Participants will acquire a greater appreciation of how vast the universe is compared to our small corner of the Milky Way Galaxies.
The Tennessee NASA Educator Resource Center is the only education center in Tennessee, an event organizer said.
