MURFREESBORO — MTSU will be closed Monday,
Jan. 20, for the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday.
No
classes will be held and no offices will be open Monday. Classes will be held as
scheduled Saturday, Jan. 18.
University classes will
resume and all offices and departments will reopen on their regular schedule
Tuesday, Jan. 21.
On Monday night, MTSU’s
Center for Student Involvement and Leadership and the Office of Intercultural
and Diversity Affairs will present the Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration and
Candlelight Vigil from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Keathley University Center Theater.

Members of the MTSU
community will gather to honor King’s life and legacy in the tribute to him and
his wife, the late Coretta Scott King. The free public event will feature
videos, singing, presentations and more in honor of the slain civil rights
leader.
The
James E. Walker Library will be closed Sunday and Monday, Jan. 19-20, reopening
at 7 a.m. Tuesday. Also, it will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17,
and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
The
Campus Recreation Center will be closed Monday and will reopen at 6 a.m.
Tuesday. It will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday and from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
MTSU’s
Campus Pharmacy is closed Saturday through Monday and will reopen at 8 a.m.
Tuesday. It will be open Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the drive-thru window
will be open until 4:30.
