MTSU’s Tatum picks
‘growth companies in today’s economy’ at Nashville luncheon
MURFREESBORO — MTSU
associate professor Doug Tatum will discuss “Growth Companies in Today’s
Economy” at a Nashville luncheon at noon Wednesday, Nov. 14.
The event, which is sponsored by the nationally recognized
CPA and advisory firm of Frazier & Deeter, will take place at noon at the
Nashville City Club, 201 4th Ave. N. in Nashville.
Tatum is a recognized expert on capital markets and
entrepreneurial companies, having testified before Congress on issues faced by
growing companies. His ideas on small business growth have been cited by leading
news media, including Inc., Financial Times, The New York Times and MSNBC.
As chairman and CEO of Tatum LLC for more than 30 years,
Tatum grew the company to the largest executive-services consulting firm in the
United States with more than 1,000 employees and professionals in 30 offices.
He later served on the firm’s board and as chairman emeritus until the company merged
with Spherion Corp. in early 2010.
In 2011, Tatum was tapped to head concentrated research for
the Institute for Exceptional Growth Companies to investigate the performance
of exceptional growth companies through economic cycles and how they contribute
to job creation and economic prosperity.
