‘MTSU On the Record’ tackles talking about (and not talking about) sex

MURFREESBORO — The issues we encounter when we try to discuss sex form the basis of discussion on the next “MTSU On the Record.”

Dr. Jessica Kratzer, an assistant professor in the Department of Speech and Theatre, will talk about her new course, “Sex and Communication,” at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, and 8 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, with host Gina Logue on WMOT-FM (89.5 and wmot.org).

Students taking the course explore sexual communication in parent/child relationships, the “hookup” culture among college students, how gender affects men’s and women’s perspectives about sex, and communication about sex and intimacy between senior citizens, among other topics.
