MURFREESBORO  —A yard sale to benefit international students at MTSU and Motlow State Community College is slated for Friday, Oct. 19, and Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Raiders for Christ headquarters at 1105 E. Bell St. in Murfreesboro.

Sale hours are 8 a.m.-2 p.m. each day.

Organizers will collect donated items for the sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, through Thursday, Oct. 18, or through appointment with Karen Case, the National Science Foundation grant coordinator in the university’s biology and educational leadership departments.

“For large items that cannot be carried by one person, we ask that you provide a picture of the item, and the potential buyer will contact you for pickup from your location,” said Case.

Funds raised by the yard sale will be used to help international students at the two institutions with emergency expenses, textbook purchases and the like.

For more information or to make an appointment for item collection, contact Case at 615-427-9411 or karen.case@mtsu.edu.
