SIXTH ANNUAL TOUR DE BORO ROLLS ALONG TO HELP FIGHT HUNGER
Cyclists Take to Countryside for Fun, Fresh Air and to Furnish Food Bank

MURFREESBORO—MTSU’s Recreation and Leisure Services Program will host the sixth annual Tour de Boro Bicycle Event at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at Barfield Crescent Park, located at 697 Barfield Crescent Road in Murfreesboro.

The 64-mile ride will begin at 8 a.m. sharp. The 32-mile ride will start at 8:05 a.m., and the 17-mile ride will commence at 8:10 a.m.

Each of the rides will include rest stops, breakfast and lunch. A Support And Gear, or SAG, vehicle will follow the riders along each route.

Registration is slated to start onsite at 7 a.m. Preregistration cost is $30, and day-of-ride registration is $35. Registration fees are nonrefundable.

Each participant may purchase a $5 ticket to enter a drawing for $500 worth of merchandise from Murfreesboro Outdoor and Bicycle Shop. Proceeds will benefit the Rutherford County Emergency Food Bank, and organizers also will accept donations of canned goods at the event.
