MURFREESBORO—Some of MTSU’s finest student filmmakers will showcase their work April 9-13 during the 12th Annual MTSU Student Film Festival in the Keathley University Center Theater.
Hosted by the MTSU Films Committee, the lights will dim each evening at 7 p.m. at the free public festival.
“The Films Committee is eager and ready to judge a new batch of student projects,” said Leslie Martin, MTSU Films chair and festival coordinator. “Last year had the most entries to date and showcased a variety of talent across all genres and areas of production.
“I’m interested in seeing what this year’s contestants will bring. I’m excited to include the audience’s vote and get their opinion, too.”
The awards show will be held on the festival’s final night, Friday, April 13. A new Audience Favorite Award will allow audience members to vote for their favorite student entry. Top honors will receive a combination of prizes, which include recognition trophies, gift cards and Nashville Film Festival passes.
