MBA Teams Capture Regional Science Olympiad Titles
Top 5 Schools in Each Division Invited to March 27 State Event in Knoxville

(MURFREESBORO, TN) – Students competing for Nashville’s Montgomery Bell Academy’s middle school and high school Science Olympiad teams finished first in their respective divisions Feb. 27 in the Regional Science Olympiad held at MTSU, event director Dr. Pat Patterson said.
MBA’s middle school team finished ahead of runner-up St. Rose Team A of Murfreesboro, E. A. Cox Team A of Columbia, Stewarts Creek of Smyrna, E.A. Cox Team B, Blackman, St. Rose Team B, Dayspring Academy of Greenbrier, Smyrna and Cason Lane Academy.
In the high-school division, MBA placed first, followed by Harpeth Hall Team A, Franklin, Ravenwood, University School of Nashville, Siegel, Spring Hill, Riverdale, La Vergne, Blackman Team B, Blackman Team A, Harpeth Hall Team B, Dayspring Academy and Eagleville School.
“The top five schools from each division were invited to the state tournament, which will be held March 27 at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville,” Patterson said.
