MTSU WRITING CENTER SPONSORS ONE-DAY TUTORIAL FOR COMMUNITY
Free March 21 Event Designed to Assist Those Affected by Poor Economy

(MURFREESBORO)—The MTSU Writing Center will offer a one-day, writing-focused event that is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 21.
Organizers of the event said the tutorial will be especially beneficial to those in the local community who may have been affected by the poor economy and are in need of one-on-one assistance with résumé or curriculum vita development; assistance with college or scholarship applications; or help completing materials related to job hunting or returning to school, including in pursuit of an advanced degree.
The Writing Center staff will not provide job placement or career counseling, but its tutors will offer writing-related services to assist those actively seeking work or further education.
Additionally, information from MTSU’s Financial Aid Office and representatives from MTSU's Admissions Office and Career Development Center will be available to those in attendance.
The one-day tutorial event is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
• For more information, please contact Connie Huddleston at (615) 494-7628.
