SOPRANO DINA CANCRYN WILL DELIVER SEPT. 7 PERFORMANCE
Free Sunday Afternoon Concert Features Program of Love Songs, Pianist Erice

(MURFREESBORO)—Dina Cancryn (soprano) and Leopoldo Erice (pianist), both faculty for the MTSU School of Music, will give a free concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, in Hinton Hall of the Wright Music Building on the MTSU campus.
"This is a program of love songs," Cancryn said. "I chose these pieces because they are beautiful; the texts and music have everything to do with romantic love and the deepest love of all, the love of God."
The recital will feature J. S. Bach's Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen, a set by Franz Liszt and composer Puccini's La Conzone di Dorett, as well as English selections including His Name So Sweet, Here's One and Ride On King Jesus.
Cancryn said that guest David Hobbs will be featured on piccolo trumpet for the first selection by Bach.
The Sunday afternoon recital is free and open to the public.
