MURFREESBORO, Tenn. —
MTSU invites potential students from public, private and home schools from
Rutherford and surrounding counties to attend the first-ever True Blue Tour reception on the Middle Tennessee State University
campus.
It will be held starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, in the
Student Union Ballroom, and there’s still time to register online by visiting www.mtsu.edu/rsvp.

Walk-up attendees are welcome as well.
At True Blue Tour events, attendees can meet with university
representatives from virtually every department, including deans, counselors,
advisers, current students and President Sidney
A. McPhee.
Students from all of Rutherford County’s high schools are
welcome.
Outside Rutherford County, MTSU admissions recruiters and
staff have been reaching out to prospective high school students from Cannon
County, Shelbyville Central, Tullahoma, Cascade, Coffee County Central, The
Webb School, Franklin County, Huntland, Warren County, Wilson County, DeKalb
County and others in the Midstate.
“We are excited to start our 2018 tour season by kicking
things off for the first time at MTSU,” said Linda Olsen, admissions director. “Our staff and the entire campus
community are enthused about our efforts for this fall as we recruit students
for 2019 and beyond.”
MTSU representatives will make 13 other tour stops as they
recruit prospects this fall in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama and Georgia.
At the reception, prospective students and their parents
will learn considerably more about MTSU. They can ask questions about financial
aid, academic programs, housing, the Honors College and obtain a 2018-19
Visitors Guide and. Potential transfer students also are welcome.
Attendees can enjoy refreshments and register to win
scholarships, certificates for an iPad, bookstore gift cards and other prizes.
On Aug. 2, MTSU mailed more than 57,000 invitations to
prospective students.
For those unable to attend the event in Murfreesboro, MTSU
offers other options for prospective students to attend a True Blue Tour event,
including Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Brentwood, Tennessee, and Thursday, Oct. 4, in
Nashville. Check the website for more details and to register.
Additionally, MTSU will host Fall Preview Days, including Saturday, Sept. 22, Saturday, Oct. 6,
and Saturday, Nov. 3, on campus. Students can enjoy the full visit experience.
MTSU has more than 300
combined undergraduate and graduate programs.
