[107] 30-plus organizations court MTSU students at Chemistry Career Fair

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — MTSU science students turned out for the annual Department of Chemistry Career Fair featuring 35 organizations from across the South.

Prospective employers, medical, dental and pharmacy schools sent representatives recruiting MTSU students for graduate school and employment.

U.S. Army and Navy, Eastman and PathGroup were among the companies talking with students on the second-floor atrium.

A sampling of colleges and universities found on the first floor included Samford, Lipscomb, Union, South College and Belmont pharmacy schools and colleges; Meharry Medical College and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee; the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine; and others.

In 2016, about 10 organizations attended the fair, so this year’s attendees more than tripled from a year ago.
