[316] Religious studies expansion subject of 'MTSU On the Record'

MURFREESBORO — The expansion of religious studies at MTSU will be the topic of the next edition of “MTSU On the Record” on radio station WMOT-FM (89.5 and wmot.org).

Host Gina Logue’s interview with Dr. Jenna Gray-Hildenbrand, associate professor of religious studies, will air from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 4, and from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, March 10.

Gray-Hildenbrand will discuss the addition of a new tenure-track position in religious studies, which is under the Department of Philosophy. The new professor will begin work in the fall 2013 semester.

A specialist in religion and law in the United States, Gray-Hildenbrand is teaching a class on women and religion this semester.

Gray-Hildenbrand earned her master’s degree at the University of Colorado and her doctorate at the University of California-Santa Barbara.
