[078] MTSU students learn about volunteer opportunities

MURFREESBORO — Dozens of MTSU students looking to make an impact with on-campus and area nonprofit organizations learned more about options available to them Tuesday (Sept. 1).

The annual Volunteer Fair, part of MTSU Week of Welcome activities for new, transfer and returning students, offers opportunities to spend time in volunteer efforts.

Beesley Animal Humane Society, Raider Health Corps, UT Extension, The Salvation Army, Abundant Life ministry, Relay for Life, Journeys in Community Living and Bridges (hearing impaired) were among the participating organizations.

The annual Student Organization Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, in the Student Union Commons.

The annual MTSU Department Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, in the same location.
