MTSU to host
tomorrow’s leaders at honor society ‘Drive-In’ Feb. 23
MURFREESBORO — MTSU
is scheduled to be the hub for a “Drive-In” meeting by chapters of the Omicron
Delta Kappa honor society in the geographical area.
The daylong event, which is sponsored by the national ODK
and the University Honors College, will begin with registration at 9 a.m.
Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Paul W. Martin Honors Building.
The honors students and their faculty advisers will engage
in networking, idea sharing, roundtable discussions and a leadership initiative
called “StrengthQuest.”
Any and all ODK members are encouraged to attend, including
alumni and faculty officers. There will be a special officer-training program
for faculty in attendance.
Fees are $15 for students and general attendees and free for
faculty officers. A travel stipend will be given to one faculty officer from
each chapter that brings at least one paid student attendee.
Registration fees include attendance at the “Drive-In,” a
personal StrengthQuest analysis, a T-shirt and lunch. Please register at least
two weeks in advance.
