PROFESSORS LAY DOWN THE LAW ON ‘MTSU ON THE RECORD’
Updated Textbook for Undergrads Provides Fodder for Debate

MURFREESBORO—“Law and the Legal System: An Introduction to Law and Legal Studies in the United States” is the topic of the next edition of “MTSU on the Record” with host Gina Logue at 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 12, and 8 a.m. Sunday, March 16, on WMOT-FM (89.5 and wmot.org).

Dr. Thomas R. Van Dervort, professor emeritus of political science, and David L. Hudson Jr., adjunct professor of political science and scholar at the First Amendment Center in Nashville, co-authored the book’s third edition for use by undergraduate college classes.

The user-friendly textbook, published by Wolters Kluwer, includes legal cases to illustrate major concepts and mock trial suggestions, as well as new chapters on tort law, contract law, family law and much more.
