Tennessee Livestock Center Hosts
Splash of Color Boer Goat Sale Saturday

(MURFREESBORO) — The second Splash of Color Boer Goat Sale will be held Saturday, April 9, starting at 1 p.m. CDT at MTSU’s Tennessee Livestock Center, 1720 Greenland Dr., event organizers said. The sale is open to the public.
The Splash of Color Boer Goat Sale is the only all-colored boer goat sale in the country. Auctioneer will be Marcus Davis. The sale will be carried by EDJECast (www.edjecast.com) for online bidding. Viewing will start at 4 p.m. Friday, April 8, and resume on Saturday morning.
Fourteen consigners from South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia plan to attend.
All lots in the sale will be red, black, paint or spotted, so for people looking for colored goats, this sale is for you, organizers said.
Also, Eric McLeymore, who is considered an artist with a set of clippers, will present a Grooming for Show seminar on Friday night.
Organizers said D&S Livestock will be bringing various goat-working and goat-handling equipment and Furney Register or Register’s Goat Supply will have supplies for sale – so attendees can avoid shipping costs.
