MURFREESBORO — The art of not giving up will be the subject of the next “MTSU On the Record” radio program.

Ferguson, who competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, as a member of the U.S. Judo Team, will discuss “The Power of Persistence” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, in the State Farm Lecture Hall of MTSU’s Business and Aerospace Building.

“My job is to take the extrinsic motivation that I provide and make it intrinsic so that the person can walk away from their career and their particular thing or their endeavor and know that they gave their best, and they can be satisfied with that,” said Ferguson.

In addition to judo, Ferguson’s athletic interests include boxing, Brazilian jujitsu and mixed martial arts.
