MTSU SYMPHONY GIVE FINAL CONCERT OF THE SEASON ON APRIL 19

(MURFREESBORO)—Members of the MTSU Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra and Concert Orchestra will give their final performance of the season at 4 p.m. April 19 in the T. Earl Hinton Music Hall of the Wright Music Building on the MTSU campus.
Dr. Carol Nies, MTSU professor and director of the groups, said the concert will feature two soloists—namely, Andrea Dawson, MTSU faculty violin professor, who will perform in Svendson's Romance, and flute performance major Abi Coffer, who will solo in Mozart's Flute Concerto No. 1.
Other works set to be performed in the April 19 concert include Saint-Saens' Danse Macabre, Bernstein's Candide Overture, Humperdinck's Evening Prayer and Dream Pantomime from Hansel and Gretel and the Schostakovich's Finale from Symphony No. 5.
This concert is free and open to the public.
